YOUNG SHITS - "Bednefits”
Problem: high schoolers aren’t making their beds.
Big idea: Encourage bed-making through a rewards system.
Step One: Wake up and pick up phone, which automatically opens Bednefits
One of the first things people do when they wake up is check his or her phone. When they unlock it, Bednefits automatically opens, reminding them to make their bed right away. If they don’t make it right away, the app will remind them to do it through out the day so they can be rewarded.
Step Two: Make bed
Step Three: Press Check your bed
There’s a reason people don’t make the bed—it’s boring and tedious. The app makes it as easy as possible to be rewarded for pushing through the agony. Just press Check your bed and take a picture. Done.
Step Four: The app uses the in-phone camera to take a photo of the bed
Step Five: Using AI within the app, it verifies the bed is made
Step six: Get points. The longer the streak of making the bed, the more points.
As users save up points from making the bed every day, they can redeem those points from within the app for rewards relevant to the target audience. Everything from free food to music to gas.
Step seven: Share the good news on social media
Social media is a huge part in the life of Gen Z—they’re constantly checking in and showing people what they’re up to. If users connect Bednefits to their social media accounts and mention the app in their posts, they get even more points.
Of course, there would be a limit to one post a day from each social media platform.
